Where to start, there are so many great places? The Chelsea Market is a great place to go for just about anything you want, lots of small restaurants that cover many cuisines for every appetite.

Right next-door is one of my favorite places - Buddakan. Great atmosphere and great food! Across the street is Club Tao. The Standard Grill and Fig and Olive are right nearby as well as my favorite Japanese place in America - Morimotos. Noodle Bar N.Y. on 171 First Ave., SSAM Bar at 207 Second Ave., KO at 8 Extra Place, Fuku at 163 First Ave….. Keep an open mind. And there is also one of my favorites, Gato at 324 Lafayette.

I really could go on but we should move to Brooklyn that is fast developing as one of the great culinary cities. I have not eaten at a lot of Brooklyn places but these are the places I have heard of especially these first two: Olmsted and Aska. Glowing reviews about both these place.
