Photos by Mary Tweeddale The Emerald Ball celebrated its 25th anniversary this year and Wayne and Donna Eng went all out to put on a spectacular event! The ballroom had just been remodeled and looked absolutely beautiful and with over 13,000 entries, the atmosphere was electric but still very friendly and warm.

Photos by Park West The Open Professional Ballroom at San Francisco Open this year was a huge success to three fabulous organizers - Stephan & Denise Krauel and Rex Lewis. Saturday night was sold out, the atmosphere was amazing and as usual at SF Open an evening opening ceremony with all competitors marching on made the competition even more special.

Nashville Ballroom Challenge

Gardenhire The Nashville Ballroom Challenge is a one day ballroom dance tournament that was hosted by Randy McBride who runs Team Randy in Tulsa, Oklahoma.   This was Randy’s first foray into hosting a ballroom competition.  Randy certainly pulled off an outstanding competition.

Photos by Ryan Kenner Photography As most of you know this year the Tristate Dancesport Championships were sold to one of the USA’s most prestigious Latin American representatives, former ABC US Latin Champions, Andrei Gavriline & Elena Kryuchkova. After leaving the competitive circuit these two well-loved and respected people have now dedicated themselves to teaching and organizing competitions.  They already run a successful one-day event (Paragon Ball) the in north east and now have taken on the reigns of the well-established Tristate Dancesport Championships.
